The schedule for the next steps are as below; 1) 03 August, 2017: Committee members to come up with questions 2) 04 August, 2017: Post questions to the conference mailing list for each team to answer 3) 11 August, 2017: Deadline for teams to answer questions 4) 12-14 August, 2017: Selection Committee discussion on proposals and voting. 5) 15 August, 2017: Declare our host for FOSS4G-Asia 2018/2019 Please note that all questions will be posted together on this ML by 4 August, 2017 (Fri) and kindly prepare to answer them by 04 August, 2017 midnight (UTC). Dear All, The FOSS4G-Asia 2018-2019 host/venue selection has been completed. Update about the voting process and results as below; a) The voting period was between 12 Aug. to 14 Aug., 2017 b) Each member of the selection committee was requested cast vote for first and second choice for host and venue and going through the proposals and Q&A responses. c) The team with the most first place votes was to be selected as host for The FOSS4G-Asia 2018-2019. d) Voting was 100% e) No tie had to be resolved f) The Sri Lanka team secured the maximum number of votes as first choice I would like to thank the Japan, Korean and Sri Lankan teams for putting forth excellent proposals and promptly responding to all the queries. Congratulations to the Sri Lankan team on being selected as host for FOSS4G-Asia 2018! Look forward to all your cooperation and active participation to make FOSS4G-Asia 2018 a great success.
